National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to representing the State public service commissions who regulate the utilities that provide essential services such as energy, telecommunications, water, and transportation.

To find your local Utility Commissioners, click on your State and it will take you to your representatives. Your Public Utility Website will also contain a list of energy suppliers that are approved in your region.

NASEO is the only national non-profit association for the governor-designated energy officials from each state and territory. Formed by the states in 1986, NASEO facilitates peer learning among state energy officials, serves as a resource for and about state energy offices, and advocates the interests of the state energy offices to Congress and federal agencies.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, or FERC, is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, and electricity. FERC also regulates natural gas and hydropower projects.

The website allows consumers to find information regarding market structures, regional organizations to contact, and current developments sorted nationally, regionally, and by energy resource type.
